Check Cashing

We cash all SIUC Student Payroll Checks with no amount limit.

Identification:

  • All SIUC payroll check require a valid SIUC ID.
  • All other items require a valid SIUC ID and a second picture ID with a signature.

This Information Must Appear on the Front of Your Check:

  • Your Name
  • Local Address
  • Local Phone Number
  • SIUC ID Number

Check Cashing Fee:

  • All transactions require a $1.00 service fee.

Maximum Dollar Amount:

  • Faculty/Staff SIUC payroll checks, cashiers checks, travelers checks, SIUC Board of Trustees checks, State of Illinois and Federal Government checks may not exceed $350.00.
  • There is no amount limit on SIUC student payroll checks.

Debit Dawg Deposits

Deposits to your Debit Dawg Account may be made in person at the Check Cashing window located on the second floor of the Student Center or by mail. More information about establishing a Debit Dawg Account.

Funds deposited after 4:00 pm Monday - Thursday will be available the following day. Funds deposited after 4:00 pm on Friday will be available the following Monday.
